SPEAKER CALLS FOR CONSUMING TRADITIONAL DAIRY PRODUCTS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On January 9, Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold visited Uguuj-Chikher boov LLC, Ulemj organic LLC and Suu JSC. The Speaker worked at the companies in order to get acquainted with realization of state policy and laws on national food production on the spot, to reflect producers’ proposal and suggestions in the state policy in directions of increasing types of traditional dairy products, improving supply and introducing innovation and advanced technologies in production. The authorities of the companies put requests including backing national factories with tax policy, rendering some tax exemptions, boosting production of forage required to intensive animal farming, giving incentives for milk, banning sale of unpacked milk which does not meet hygienic requirements and preferably using milk and milk products in school lunch. Worrying health issues caused by food consumption especially among the children are becoming widespread. Therefore, collaboration of state, private and non-governmental organizations is required in habituating consumption of milk and dairy products, reducing use of sugary and carbonated drinks, stressed the Speaker. “As a Speaker, I am calling people for accustoming and constantly using traditional dairy products to protect health of people, younger generation and children and ensure food safety”, he added.
