PRESIDENT MEETS RESIDENTS OF CHINGELTEI DISTRICT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President Kh.Battulga met representatives of the citizens of Chingeltei district on January 14, as the first of a series of meetings with the people of Mongolia. The President plans to hear opinions of the people on the pressing issues in the society such as pollution, pensions and debt through these meetings. In the beginning of his speech, the President talked about his activities since the election, including the organization of several forums addressing air pollution, food safety, role of scientists in policy-making, offshore money and corruption. The President addressed issues such as air pollution, unemployment, agriculture, military service and others whereas the citizens raised questions and sought the President’s support on various matters such as satellite city, air pollution reduction measures, employment, dismissal of Parliament, decentralization and amendment of the Constitution.
