BILATERAL MEETINGS HELD DURING APPF-26

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Mongolian parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker M.Enkhbold attended the 26th annual meeting of Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF-26) in Hanoi, Vietnam on January 18-20. On January 19, the Speaker met Lee Jinbok, head of the Standing Committee of National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. At the meeting, M.Enkhbold put forward a request to pay an attention from the National Assembly on wage, insurance, health and human rights issues of Mongolians who are working in S.Korea. The same day, he also met with Senior Lieutenant General Sengnouane Sayalat, Vice Chairman of the Laos National Assembly. They stressed out importance of putting bilateral talks into real works, such as developing traditional cooperation in agriculture and health sectors, exporting meat and meat products and carpets to Laos and importing wooden items and fruits from Laos. Mongolian MPs B.Purevdorj, B.Baatarbileg, A.Sukhbat and Ch.Ulaan attended two plenary sessions of APPF-26 titled ‘Politics - Security’ and ‘Economics – Trade,’ at which participants discussed about roles and efforts of legislative bodies to increase regional trades and investment and satisfy inclusive and sustainable growth.
