UNISDR REGIONAL CHIEF VISITING MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin met Loretta Hieber Girardet, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction’s (UNISDR) Chief of Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific on January 23. Ms. Loretta Hieber Girardet is visiting Mongolia at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister to attend a preparatory meeting for the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, which will be hosted by Mongolia on July 16-19 this year. Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin expressed his readiness to put all necessary efforts to successfully host the international conference, reminding Ms. Girardet of Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh’s invitation to UN Secretary General António Guterres to attend the conference.
