Bahrain's renewable energy projects reviewed

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza has received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), headed by Bikas Joshi. The minister welcomed the IMF delegation and praised the role of international financial institutions that aim to support development programmes and projects. The minister made a detailed presentation to the delegation on the status of electricity, water and renewable energy in Bahrain and future projects and achievements in these areas. The visitors thanked the minister and the officials for the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the general situation of electricity and water in Bahrain as well as the projects implemented by the Electricity and Water Authority and the Sustainable Energy Unit. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Hashem, advisor to the minister.
