BTEA receives first French tourist group

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) yesterday receive the first French tourist group from CAFPI Group. 90 visitors will enjoy a variety of activities over the three-day visit, including visits to tourist sites and a number of shopping malls and experiencing pearl diving. BTEA CEO Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa expressed delight in the first group's visit to Bahrain, which is an outcome of an agreement held late last year between the BTEA Representative Office in France and tour operators on attracting tourist groups to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain. He said the BTEA seeks to promote Bahrain’s tourism to contribute to achieving sustainable development and support economic growth, looking forward to hosting more tourist groups through the BTEA’s representative offices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UK, Germany, France, India, China and Russia.
