MAYOR OF ULAANBAATAR CITY VISITS BUK-1 FACTORY

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On February 3, municipal government delegates led by S.Batbold, Governor of the Capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, worked at ‘BUK-1’ a precast concrete panel factory of ‘Erel’ LLC. The factory was established first in 1963 under a name ‘BUK-1’ and contributed to construct 80 percent of all apartments and buildings in the capital. ‘Erel’ bought the factory by auction in 1994. ‘Erel’ LLC renovated the plant, BUK-1, with the up-to-date German technology and machinery in 2014, becoming one of the world standard factories. BUK-1 was put into operation last December. Renovations of the factory created a possibility to construct all types of buildings using the factory’s products, including interior panels, elevators, reinforcing fittings, energy efficient exterior panels as well as others. Precast concrete panels, produced at the factory, are harmless to environment, resistant to earthquake and energy efficient alongside high load-bearing capacity. “Outputs are very resistant to earthquake. In addition, it takes so little time to build a construction. For instance, it is possible to construct a building of kindergarten with a capacity of 100 children within two weeks,” said B.Erdenebat, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. Afterwards, Mayor S.Batbold said, “The best solution against air and environment pollution is to provide citizens with apartments and introduce a consumption of liquefied gas. Importantly, it needs to improve a supply of affordable apartments that are built within short time. It is very thankful that the private company makes such a bold action, resuming operations of BUK-1 for resolving pressing issues of the city. The municipal administration will support it.” “BUK-1 is capable of building any size of apartments regardless of seasons. Erel LLC promises to sell its apartment below MNT1.2 million per square meter. This is very affordable price for today. Now, the company requests government to resolve land issues, mortgage loan issuance and infrastructure. The company authory said that if the issues are resolved, it is able to erect an exemplary residential town for 500-1000 households,” he added. After getting familiar with the factory’s operation, S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, and B.Erdenebat, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, established a memorandum with a purpose to cooperate in developing satellite cities and neighboring settlements and intensifying ger district re-planning and constructional works of social sector.
