PARENTAL CONTROL SOFTWARE TO BE LAUNCHED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Family, Youth and Child Development Agency held a press conference on February 6 on the occasion of the Safer Internet Day.
At the press conference, Deputy Head of the Family, Youth and Child Development Agency B.Khaliun said that it is impossible to know what is children doing in the cyberspace. So, the Family, Youth and Child Development Agency in cooperation with the Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia is planning to launch the software ‘Family lock’ in 2018 which is widely used in foreign countries.
She then called on parents and guardians to teach their children to use cyber technologies responsibly, respectively and creatively as well as to communcate with children openly.
European countries have been celebrating the International Safer Internet Day since 2004. As of today, over 130 countries are celebrating the day.
Marking the day is important for raising children and youth's awareness of using in positive way developments of digital technologies and ensuring safety in the cyber environment.
