BQA receives Salford University's delegation

Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): Executive Director of Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) today received a delegation from the University of Salford comprising Vice-Chancellor Prof. Helen Marshall; British University of Bahrain (BUB)’s Vice-President, Prof. Keith Sharp; Director of Finance, Julie Charge; Regional Director of Finance, Julie Cross and Project Manager Emma King. The delegation gave an overview of the Salford University’s operation plan, in addition to its next year’s academic programme strategy. The BQA Executive Director highlighted Bahrain’s interest in promoting the higher education sector by attracting leading regional and international universities to launch their academic programmes in Bahrain to contribute to achieving Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. She pointed out Bahrain’s higher education investment encouragement laws that target providing high quality academic education for the development of students’ skills and knowledge. The delegation commended the BQA’s role in establishing quality assurance in the state’s institutions, hailing the national laws and regulations that contribute to attracting leading universities to establish branches in Bahrain.
