Bahraini-US economic relations reviewed

Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): Minister of Industry, Commence and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, today received Executive Director of US-Bahrain Business Council, Jennifer Miel, accompanied with Chairman of American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (AmCham), Qais Al-Zubi, and a number of the council members who are currently on visit to the country as part of the Discover America Week 2018 activities.  The meeting reviewed the longstanding Bahraini-US economic relations that gained extra thrust after signing a cluster of agreement in economic, trade, industrial, oil and aviation areas during the visit of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to the US in November 2017.  He said signing the aforementioned contracts has contributed to doubling the trade exchange between the two countries. He noted the significance of the exchange of visits and holding joint activities in outlining the common goals, highlighting Bahrain’s interest in further broadening cooperation and offering various facilitations to contribute to attracting investments and establishing joint ventures in both countries.
