Bahrain-Saudi health cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh today received her Saudi counterpart Tawfiq Fawzan Al-Rabiah and the accompanying delegation. The Saudi delegation arrived in Bahrain to get an idea about Bahrain’s health system and explore the prospects of cooperation and exchange of expertise. The meeting was attended by Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Walid Al-Manea. The two sides will tomorrow – Thursday – discuss Bahrain’s health reforms, focusing on the health insurance system, being implemented by the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), chaired by Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa. The Saudi delegation will be updated on world-standard healthcare services in Bahrain.
