Freight Transport for Wonsan-Kalma Coastal Tourist Area Brisk

Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- A work is in full swing in the DPRK to transport materials badly needed for the construction of the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area. The railway transport sector has so far carried tens of thousands of tons of cement, thousands of tons of steel, a large quantity of wood and gravels, etc. The Ministry of Railways has directed its efforts to increasing the rate of locomotive operations and cutting down the round-trip time of the goods wagons to the maximum. It has established a regular traffic control system and shortened the loading and unloading time. The Wonsan Rolling-Stock Complex, the Hamhung Rolling-Stock Parts Plant and other relevant units are supplying accessories and materials for train operation in time. -0-
