ADB TO SUPPORT PROJECT ON IMPROVING STATE REGISTRY SYSTEM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A consultative meeting for officials of the General Authority for State Registration and Intellectual Property (GAIPSR) took place at the Conference Hall of the Blue Sky Hotel on February 27.
The meeting was attended by administrative officials, heads of departments, state registrars and information technology engineers from 21 aimags, discussing issues regarding objectives of the GAIPSR for 2018, civil registration services, properties, registration service of legal entities and works to be implemented further.
Moreover, the GAIPSR in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) officially launched project ‘Improved Registry System to Strengthen the Delivery of Social Services’, which is significant to improve accessibility and quality of civil registration services in Mongolia and help establish the One Citizen One Registration program.
Chairman of the GAIPSR R.Sodkhuu noted that the project ‘Improved Registry System to Strengthen the Delivery of Social Services’ will be implemented with ADB funding of USD 200 thousand. The registration service has improved a lot and been moved onto electronic platforms. He then said that registrar across the country will be able to register on the system directly thanks to the project.
