FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS S.KOREAN VICE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On March 26, Foreign Affairs Minister D.Tsogtbaatar met with Cho Hyun, South Korean Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and head of the S.Korean delegation to the 3rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission between Mongolia and South Korea.
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar emphasized a successful development of comprehensive partnership relations between Mongolia and S. Korea. He expressed Mongolia’s willingness to intensify political talks with the country and deepen bilateral cooperation in all sectors, welcoming 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries to be marked in 2020. In particular, they exchanged views on augmenting S.Korean investment largely, developing complementary economic cooperation in introducing advanced technology and implementing stage by stage measures to enable mutual visa-free travels of citizens of the two countries.
Vice Minister Cho Hyun expressed his satisfaction with successful organization of the 3rd meeting of intergovernmental commission and its creative and business-like dialogues on deepening political relations, increase trade and investment and expand bilateral cooperation in economy, tourism, culture, education and environment.
In addition, the S.Korean side said it is willing to settle promptly with Mongolian side on projects for reducing air pollution to be implemented with the soft loan worth USD500 million of S.Korean government and to cooperate in establishing relevant documents. Alongside, the Vice Minister expressed a commitment to pay attention to take certain measures on facilitating visa conditions for Mongolians and expanding issuance of multiple entry visas.
