ULAANBAATAR AND BUSAN TO EXPAND TOURISM COOPERATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Governor in charge of green development and air pollution J.Batbayasgalan received Vice Mayor of Busan Metropolitan city Park Jae-min on March 28. They exchanged views on cooperation, specifically in tourism and signed a memorandum to intensify cooperation in tourism sector. “The cooperation between Ulaanbaatar and Busan started in 2016 establishing an Agreement on Development of Friendly Relations. Since then the cooperation between the two cities have rapidly developed in all sectors, especially in tourism. In order to diversify tourism attractions in Ulaanbaatar, we have been developing hiking routes near the city. Therefore I’d like to invite the tourists from Busan to hike in the mountains near the city for four seasons and cooperate on this matter. I’m hopeful that the memorandum signed today will make a great contribution to the expansion of tourism cooperation of the two cities” said deputy Governor J.Batbayasgalan. Opening of the Busan health tourism promotion office was held today. The representative office will provide people seeking for medical or wellness tourism with detailed information and cheaper services. The number of Korean tourists visiting Mongolia is constantly increasing from year to year. Last year number of Korean tourists reached 74985, up by 23 percent compared to the previous year. Moreover, the parties pointed out that the increased number of Ulaanbaatar-Busan flights by Air Busan LLC and MIAT gives a great opportunity for the cooperation. B.Misheel
