DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER OF URUGUAY VISITS MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Delegates led by deputy Foreign Minister of Uruguay Ariel Bergamino visited Mongolia on April 1-3. Ariel Bergamino held talks with his Mongolian counterpart B.Battsetseg on bilateral relations and cooperation. The sides exchanged views on developing bilateral friendly relations and cooperation in politics, economy, agriculture, renewable energy, sport and tourism. The Uruguay side expressed its willingness to share its experience of creating legal environment and policy on supporting agriculture, especially agricultural goods for export. In scope of his visit, Uruguay’s deputy Minister met Mongolia’s Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry B.Batzorig. At the meeting, the Uruguay side reported to send its public and private representatives of agriculture to Mongolia and invited the Minister to visit Uruguay and attend international agriculture fair in the country. Moreover, Defense Minister N.Enkhbold received the Uruguay’s deputy Minister. They agreed to cooperate in conducting joint military field exercise, improving capacity of defense staff, involving Uruguay military team in Khaan Quest multinational peacekeeping exercise, as well as exchanging delegates.
