‘GOLDEN BRUSH – 12’ EXHIBITION DISPLAYS YOUNG ARTISTS WORKS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Being held for the 12th time, opening ceremony of international exhibition ‘Golden brush - 2018’ took place in the Art Gallery of the Union of Mongolian Artists (UMA) on April 4. Young rising artists highly anticipate the exhibition every year to display their creations, challenge themselves and get their skills evaluated. The Union of Young Artists at the UMA is striving to expand the exhibition to international level. This year, artists from Iran, Serbia and Egypt are taking part in the exhibition. From year to year, the number of participants is increasing and it is noticeable from the exhibition that young artists’ skills are improving. The awards granting ceremony was held concurrently with the opening of the exhibition and artist J.Anunaran won ‘Golden brush’ trophy with her painting ‘Oron’ (Realm). She also received cash prize, certificate to use the UMA studio for a year and to conduct her exhibition in the Art Gallery of the UMA. Moreover, as one of the co-organizers, the Ord Gallery granted prize to first runner up artist to organize his/her exhibition in the Ord Gallery. The UMA and the Young Artists Union always support their young artists up to the age of 35 with their activities such as making them participate in international exhibitions. Last year, the UMA established friendly relations with the Artists’ Unions of Busan and Daejeon cities of the Republic of South Korea and organized joint exhibitions of Mongolian and South Korean artists.
