TUUL RIVER TO BE TAKEN UNDER STATE SPECIAL PROTECTION

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on April 25, the Cabinet discussed and supported a draft parliamentary resolution on ‘Taking Tuul River zone into the state special protection and some relevant actions’, formulated by MP A.Sukhbat. Every day, individuals, organizations and enterprises consume 190 thousand cubic meter of water for drinking or industrial purposes. The Tuul River is fed by rainwater only. Due to increasing population and constructional works, ecology and natural appearance of the riverbeds are degrading, which brings the danger of water scarcity closer, according to experts. M.Unurzul
