ASIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS TO CONVENE IN ULAANBAATAR IN JUNE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science Yo.Baatarbileg received today United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Mongolia Country Representative Naomi Kitahara. Asian Parliamentarians will convene in Ulaanbaatar on June 11-12 to discuss Asia’s population and development issues. The meeting will be organized at the initiative of the UNFPA with support from the Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science. In connection, the sides exchanged views on organizational issues of the meeting and its preparation. The forthcoming meeting will cover wide range of topics such as migration, life expectancy, reproduction, employment and gender in Asia. The sides talked about wide participation of representatives from the State Great Khural, Government of Mongolia, Ministries and agencies at the meeting. They also agreed to establish a working group to ensure the preparation of the meeting. Present at the meeting was Member of Parliament S.Saranchimeg. .Altanzul
