26 young players go to study in Brazil
Astana, March 07, 2009 (Khabar) - A group of 26, 14-year old football players from Kazakhstan has left for Brazil to take a course of study there. They passed a selection which required the players to have good health and physical form as well as football skills. Every football player dreams of improving his football skills in the country which is the birthplace of the world’s greatest footballers.
Nurlan Uteshev, executive secretary of “Zhas Otan” Youth Wing:
- You are stars now. A lot of people in the country know you now. You need to obtain good knowledge there and use it later in order to show good football playing for the national side of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan’s young football players will be improving their skills in Sao Paolo in the Ole Brazil Club academy. Apart from Brazilians, children from the USA, Canada, Australia and South Korea take a course of study there. Thanks to the three years of extensive training, the academy releases real professionals.
Frederico Mayer, ambassador of Brazil to RK:
- You are going to live in another country. Don’t be afraid as Kazakhstan supports you. Looking at you, Brazilians will make conclusions about people from Kazakhstan. You are also to bear great responsibility.
Such a course of study became possible thanks to the agreement sealed between President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Brazilian leader Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and stipulating assistance in the development of children’s football in Kazakhstan
Miras Tuyleyev, football player (Aktobe):
- It is a football country and it also has a lot of sunlight, an ocean and beaches. We will do our best to win games for Kazakhstan.
Nurbibi Tuleyeva, mother:
- I am worried about it but I still hope it justifies our hopes. I want my son to avoid injuries and to return home healthy.
According to football specialists, these young footballers are expected to be the next generation of the Republic’s national side. Now, they need to train hard as they are expected to demonstrate good results in three years or so.
