Men's Soccer Tournament for Torch Cup Begins

Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- Men's soccer tournament for Torch Cup began in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK. Belonging to Group A are Kigwancha, Ryomyong, Amnokgang, Jebi, Sonbong, Hwaebul and Ryongaksan teams and to Group B Rimyongsu, Sobaeksu, Pyongyang, Wolmido, Kalmaegi and Ministry of Light Industry teams. In the first matches held on August 1, the Ryomyong team beat the Sonbong team 4:2 and the Kigwancha team tied with the Hwaebul team 1:1. The group league matches will end on August 23 and the semifinals are slated for August 26 and the finals for August 28, the Youth Day. -0-
