DPRK's Birthday to Be Marked in Venezuela

Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- A Venezuelan preparatory committee for celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK was formed on Aug. 21. Omar Lopez, chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected as honorary chairman of the preparatory committee and Felix Jesus Velasquez Castillo, general coordinator of the Federal Political Secretariat of the United Left Party of Venezuela and chairperson of the Venezuelan Solidarity Committee for Korea's Peace and Reunification, as its chairman. The preparatory committee decided to give wide publicity to the development course of the DPRK and hold various political and cultural events to support the struggle of the Korean people. -0-
