Turkey intends to build new schools in Kyrgyzstan

Ankara, Sept. 26, 2018. /Kabar/. The Government of Turkey intends to build a number of new schools in Kyrgyzstan, which will be financed by the Maarif government foundation, Deputy Director of the General Directorate of Central Asia and the Caucasus Gökhan Turan told during a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey. Speaking to journalists, Turan noted the broad ties between the two countries in the sphere of education and said that Turkey intends to build a number of new schools in Kyrgyzstan. "In the near future we intend to open a new department in Kyrgyzstan and through the Maarif Foundation, which has great experience in the field of education and conducts a number of educational projects, to build several schools" Turan said. He stressed that the schools will conform the high quality of education in view of the fact that the Maarif Foundation has rich experience in the field of education. "The preparatory protocol was signed by our parties, and I hope that in the near future the project will be implemented," Turan added. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkey Ibrahim Zhunusov noted that Kyrgyzstan will provide the foundation with unfinished schools, where the construction does not exceed 30% of completion.
