American doctors share their experience in saving women in labor with obstetricians of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. Specialists from the United States conduct training for obstetricians in Kyrgyzstan on saving women in childbirth, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) reported. On September 27 to 28, theoretical and practical classes were held for the medical workers of the city and Chuy oblast, and 150 people took part in them. In particular, the participants of the training were told about first aid to the child in the absence of breathing, as well as about dangerous postpartum hemorrhages that can lead the mother to death. "The event takes place in the format of ToT - training for trainers. It is assumed that the participants will be able to share their knowledge and skills with colleagues in medical institutions where they work. The algorithm of actions for obstetric aid, they practiced on the dummies of mother and child. These dummies, entitled "Mom Natalie", as well as training manuals, will be handed over to every medical institution with a delivery room,” the organizers added. Similar exercises will be organized in the future for obstetricians of maternity hospitals and maternity wards of territorial hospitals from all regions of the country. The events are held within the framework of the program entitled "We will help mothers survive" in partnership with the LDScharity American charitable organization, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Association of Obstetricians and UNICEF.
