Juche-based Project Completed at Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex

Songrim, October 1 (KCNA) -- The construction of the Juche-based project has been completed at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex. Workers, technicians and officials of the complex carried out the construction of Juche-based project including oxygen converter and oxygen separator to open up a bright prospect for putting on a normal basis the iron and steel production with indigenous technology, fuel and materials 100 per cent. Its inaugural ceremony took place on Sunday. Present there were O Su Yong, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the State Planning Commission, officials of North Hwanghae Province, officials concerned and officials and employees of the complex. Conveyed was a letter of thanks from the WPK Central Committee to the workers, technicians and officials of the complex who completed the Juche-based project. The letter said that the completion of more perfect Juche-based iron-making system at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex made a big stride in implementing the behests of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on consolidating the self-supporting foundation of the metal industry as well as a breakthrough for attaining the steel production goal in the five-year strategy for national economic development. The WPK Central Committee in the letter highly appreciated the feats of the workers, technicians and officials of the complex who provided a firm guarantee for the sustained growth of iron and steel production and contributed to consolidating the might of self-supporting economy. An inaugural address was made to be followed by speeches. At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the newly-built objects. -0-
