Consideration of Kyrgyz-Turkish agreement on social security of migrants postponed

Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2018. /Kabar/. The Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) postponed consideration of a draft law on ratification on the Agreement on Social Security between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkey at its meeting on Tuesday.
The deputies were addressed by Chairman of the Social Fund Meder Irsaliev. He told that 14 500 Kyrgyz citizens officially work in Turkey, and 5 400 Turkish citizens officially work in the Kyrgyz Republic.
In Kyrgyzstan, the average pension is $81, in Turkey $ 350. The ratification of the Agreement will allow to solve the issues of social security of citizens of two countries.
Answering the questions of deputies Kanybek Imanaliev, Abdyvakhap Nurbaev, Almazbek Baatyrbekov, Akylbek Zhamangulov, Anvar Artykov, the speaker noted that this is the first such agreement. It is expected that the same agreements will be concluded with the EAEU countries.
In this regard, the speaker’s answers did not satisfy the deputies, the Committee decided to consider the draftlaw at the next meeting with the participation of the heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Migration Service.
