NIHR's Civil, Political Rights Committee holds 17th meeting

Manama, (BNA): The Civil and Political Rights Committee at the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) held its 17th regular meeting, under the chairmanship of Dr. Bader Mohammed Adel. Member, Deena Abdulrahman Alladhi, also attended the committee meeting. The panel lauded the support of the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, and Chairman of the High Committee to Oversee the Integrity of the Elections, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, for the monitoring of the parliamentary and municipal elections 2018. It also hailed the minister’s support for independent associations and entities and civil society organisations which participated in observing the elections. The committee highlighted the workshop to be held by the NIHR for its representatives who participated in the observation of this year’s elections. It also reviewed its previous meeting's resolutions and recommendations, as well as the procedures taken regarding them.
