Assad's visit to Tehran to have key outcomes: Iran

Tehran, March 4, IRNA – The visit by Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad to Tehran will have major outcomes, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said Monday. Describing the visit as 'important', Bahram Qasemi said, that 'good consultations' were made during President Assad's stay in the Iranian capital. Assad visited Tehran on February 25, and was received by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Qasemi also noted that the visit was meant to acknowledge Iran's military advisory role and contribution to the fights against terrorism. Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon has recently said that Iran would be a top priority in Syria's future.
