NCC to launch 'Meeting with an Official' project

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): The National Communication Centre (NCC) CEO Ahmed Mohammed Al Mannai unveiled the intent to launch a "Meeting with an Official" project that will bring together local press editors with government officials in a series of open discussion sessions. The NCC chief executive said that the NCC does not override newspapers’ communication with the ministries but seeks to make information accessible in addition to channeling media discourse in harmony with State public policies related to the Government Action Plan and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. This came as Al Mannai visited Al Ayam daily where he met with its Board Chairman Najib Al Hamer, Editor-in-Chief Isa Al Shayji, Editing Director Jassim Mansour, departmental heads and editors, and talked with them about the Centre’s duties and work mechanism. Al Mannai cited the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the National Communication Centre (NCC) and Bahrain News Agency (BNA) in addition to a current plan to boost the cooperation with local press and media that began with the launch of initiative of communication with columnists.
