Bahrain's unwavering support to Yemen stressed

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal has reiterated Bahrain's unwavering stance in supporting legitimacy in Yemen to ensure restoration of security and stability, protection of the country's sovereignty, unity and Arab identity and achievement of citizens' aspirations. She was speaking as she received Yemeni Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Ali Hassan Al Ahmedi. She discussed with him bilateral relations and issues of common interest. She stressed deep-rooted bilateral ties under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. She added that Bahrain's participation in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition stems from its belief in the importance of Arab solidarity to protect the Arabian region and its peoples from foreign interference and greed and confront terrorism and its supporters. She also underlined the ongoing Bahraini parliamentary support to Yemen at regional and international gatherings, wishing Yemen security, stability and prosperity. The Yemeni ambassador commended strong bilateral relations, expressing thanks and gratitude to HM the King for Bahrain's historical and honourable stance in supporting legitimacy in Yemen and providing humanitarian aid through the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO).
