HRH Premier visits historical, religious sites in Manama

Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today made an inspection visit to a number of heritage, religious, historical and commercial sites in the Manama region. HRH the Prime Minister exchanged talks with a number of citizens and visitors of the sites, stressing the government's unwavering efforts to develop various areas and provide them with sufficient services. HRH Premier highlighted the government's unwavering interest in developing regions to achieve the aspirations of the citizens, noting that many development projects aimed at achieving the citizens’ comfort and boosting the commercial sector are being implemented. While visiting the site of the Al-Mehza Mosque which he had ordered its reconstruction in a way that would preserve its historical status and religious role, HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that directives had already been given to the competent authorities to expedite the completion of the technical procedures in order to immediately embark on the reconstruction and the revamp of the iconic mosque. HRH Premier affirmed the government’s interest in taking care of the houses of worship so as to be able to assume their religious and social role.
