Public Security Chief meets INTERPOL director

Manama, Apr. 1(BNA): Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan received on Monday Director of INTERPOL's Middle East and North Africa Office, Abdulaziz Obeidallah. The Chief welcomed the guest, hailing the role of the office in reinforcing interaction and coordination between member countries to back efforts to fight cross-border crimes and promote international cooperation through central national offices. The meeting discussed topics of common interest related to cooperation with the INTERPOL. The Chief was briefed on the results of the visit of the INTERPOL delegation as part of the annual plan to visit central national offices of member countries. Also, the accomplishments of the Kingdom's central national office (Bahrain INTERPOL) in fighting crimes in general and the turning point of the office through the use of the INTERPOL's tools and services. The Director expressed thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Interior Minister for his endless support to the organisation through holding various meetings, conferences and courses in coordination with the Bahrain INTERPOL.
