Deputy Premier returns after attending Arab Summit

Manama, Apr. 1(BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa has returned to Bahrain after attending the 30th Summit, which concluded yesterday in Tunisia. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa and the accompanying delegation. The Deputy Premier paid a visit this morning to Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi at the presidential palace and discussed bilateral relations, stressing keenness on bolstering joint cooperation in all fields between the two brotherly countries. They reviewed the outcome of the Arab Summit and focused on resolutions and Tunis declaration, stressing the importance of ensuring the follow-up to expand cooperation between Arab countries amid challenges threatening their security and stability. The Deputy Premier had addressed the 30th Arab Summit, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, stressing Bahrain’s stance regarding the issues featuring on the agenda of the Arab Summit. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, HM King Abdulla II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan, the Amir of Kuwait HH Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Sudan’s First Deputy President and Defence Minister Lieutenant-General Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Auf.
