Southern Governor holds weekly Majlis

Manama, Apr. 3 (BNA): Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, received a number of officials and dignitaries at his weekly Majlis today. The governor asserted that, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the Southern Governorate’s doors are open to all the citizens in order to meet them, be informed about their needs and remarks and meet them, in cooperation with the competent authorities. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali expressed honour in serving the Southern Governorate and its citizens, pledging to spare no effort in order to enhance the governorate’s progress in various fields, through communication and cooperation with the local citizens. The governor expressed pride in the noble efforts exerted by the security staff to safeguard the nation’s security and hard-won achievements, noting that those dedicated efforts, which are in line with the directives of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, aim to strengthen community partnership, as the best means to protect social cohesion, security and stability. The Majlis tackled HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali’s recent visit to Japan, noting that it reflects the distinguished position reached by the Southern Governorate, and provides an opportunity to bolster its cooperation with Japanese governorates in the economic, investment, security and cultural fields. Those present expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Southern Governor for his keenness to meet the citizens, as the best means to preserve the Bahraini citizens’ deep-rooted authentic values. They also commended his efforts to open up wider horizons of cooperation in various fields.
