Renault Samsung expects domestic sales to fall in 2009
SEOUL, March 30 (Yonhap) -- Renault Samsung Motors Co., the South Korean unit of
French automaker Renault SA, said Monday it expects domestic vehicle sales to
slightly decline this year on weaker consumption.
Renault Samsung, the second-smallest automaker in South Korea, aims to sell
100,000 vehicles at home this year, compared with the 101,981 units it sold last
year, the company said in a statement.
In 2008, Renault Samsung posted an operating profit of 130 billion won (US$95.1
million) on sales of 3.7 trillion won, according to the statement.
