KPS wins US$20 mln deal for Indian plant By Nam Kwang-sik

SEOUL, March 30 (Yonhap) -- Korea Plant Service & Engineering Co. (KPS), a South Korean plant builder, said Monday it has signed a US$20 million deal with Indian aluminum smelter Bharat Aluminium Co.(BALCO) to operate and maintain the smelter's thermal power plant in India.

Under the deal, KPS will operate and maintain the power station from March, this
year through April 2014, the company said in a regulatory filing.
BALCO is a unit of Vendata Resources Plc, India's copper and aluminum producer,
which is based in London.
KPS is a subsidiary of South Korea's state-run electric power company Korea
Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO).
