AGU participates in international youth meeting on environment

Manama, May 30 (BNA): PhD student in the Arabian Gulf University's (AGU) Natural Resources and Environment Anood Al Khatlan participated in the recently held GEO 6 for Youth meeting in Vienna, Austria.
The conference gathered the authours of the report on the international environment predictions, issued by the UN's Environment Programme, among whom was Al Khatlan who also played a coordination role.
The report aims to examine the state of the environment and its trends, while it gives predictions on its future and how the youth generation will impact and will be affected by it and their role in enhancing the international environment state.
The report communicates its contents to the youth segment because it was prepared by their fellow youth who represent different parts of the world. It uses a simple language so it can reach out as many as possible young people. Furthermore, the report also features short films to shed light on several relevant issues. Al Khatlan oversaw a group of elite authours from West Asia who participated in writing the report.
The meeting discussed what has been completed of the report chapters and reviewed the comments received from those who read it. The report comes in a soft copy, while a limited number of hard copies of it were printed. The report was composed in line with the efforts to inspire to meet the 2030 sustainable development goals.
