Speaker receives Northern Governor

Manama, June 18 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal has today received Northern Governor Ali bin Al-Sheikh Abdul Hussein Al-Asfoor and discussed projects and initiatives aimed at fostering the values and principles of national belonging. She underlined the importance of programmes, projects and services undertaken by the Governorates across the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the Ministry of Interior’s follow-up and support. She lauded the cooperation of state enterprises which contribute actively to enhancing the standard of services, consolidating the social fabric and spirit of national belonging, in addition to investing in youth activities. . The Speaker highlighted the role played by Governorates to consolidate cooperation with the Council of Representatives and bolster joint relations with the aim of serving Bahraini citizens. The Northern Governor commended the patriotic role played by the Council of Representatives and the legislative branch of government.
