Seoul stocks up 0.11 pct in late morning

SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.11 percent higher late
Friday morning on hopes of better corporate earnings, analysts said.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) inched up 1.35 points to
1,278.32 as of 11:20 a.m.
"Upbeat expectations on corporate earnings helped offset profit-taking," said Lim
Dong-min, an analyst at Dongbu Securities.
The local currency was trading at 1,339.4 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., down 4.9 won from Thursday's close.
