Saudi Minister of Finance Reassures about Saudi Arabia`s Economy

London, April 03, SPA--Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin
Abdulaziz Al-Assaf has reassured all about the economy of Saudi
Arabia, especially in light of the economic crisis currently
witnessed by the world.

In a joint press conference held here on Thursday evening with the
Governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency Dr. Mohammed bin Suleiman
Al Jasser, the Minister of Finance said, " The Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia has been in continuing economic recovery and the situations
will improve for better over the next year according to the estimates
of the International Monetary Fund predicting that the world economy
will grow at 2 percent in 2010."

Dr. Al-Assaf added, " Thanks to the economic policies pursued by
the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah
bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince with regard to the
Government's investment program and the diversity of local economic
activities of the state which is non-dependent on oil only, the Saudi
economic growth has not been greatly affected by the economic crisis
such as other countries whose rates of economic growth have reached
negative or zero."
