Pledging hard work, new Greek Cabinet sworn in

Greece’s new Cabinet was sworn in on Tuesday after New Democracy’s strong win in Sunday’s elections. In a ceremony at the Presidential Palace, the 51 new ministers -- including five women -- promised to bring the change Greeks are seeking to the economy and work hard to perform their duties. Sworn in by Athens Archbishop Leronymos, the new Cabinet is made up of politicians who have served in previous governments with considerable experience as well as technocrats considered experts in their fields. The new Cabinet is scheduled to have its first meeting at 11 a.m. local time (0800GMT) on Wednesday.
