N. Korea sets up monitoring equipment ahead of rocket launch

SEOUL, April 4 (Yonhap) -- North Korea has set up camera equipment at its launch pad on the east coast as it appears on the verge of launching a "satellite" that neighbors fear could be a cover for a ballistic missile test, a South Korean official said Saturday.

"We're expecting a launch in hours, possibly around noon," the official said,
adding three cameras have been spotted around the launch pad.
The official declined to speak about their specific functions.
North Korea has said it will go ahead with the launch from the Musudan-ri site
between Saturday and Wednesday.
South Korea convened a meeting of senior officials involved in security and
diplomatic relations, other officials said.
South Korea, Japan and the United States say North Korea may in fact be preparing
