S. Korea believes N. Korea's rocket carried satellite

SEOUL, April 5 (Yonhap) -- A top South Korean government official said North
Korea's rocket appears to have carried a satellite but Seoul is still checking
whether a satellite has been put in orbit.
"We believe North Korea fired a rocket carrying a satellite," the official told
Yonhap News Agency. "However, it does not necessarily mean that the launch was a
success."
He said that the South Korean government is in close contact with U.S.
intelligence authorities for more information.
