Official source at the Ministry of Interior makes statement

Riyadh, April 07, SPA -- A clandestine 11-member deviant group with
contacts with colleagues outside the Kingdom and plans to launch
attacks against security men and abductions was apprehended in a
mountainous hideout in the vicinity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's
southern border, it was disclosed today.

An official source at the Ministry of Interior said close security
monitoring and follow-up, resulted in the discovery of an eleven
member clandestine cell with contacts with deviant colleagues
residing outside the Kingdom. The group has taken steps to carry out
a criminal plot including assaults on security men, abductions and
holding some figures hostage, and armed assaults to finance their
criminal activities. They had a hideout in a mountainous area in the
vicinity of the southern border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where
they stored food supplies, weapons, ammunition, photographing items
and diversified equipment.

Thanks to Almighty Allah, the security authorities were able to
arrest the eleven members of the cell, all Saudis, and their
properties, including weapons and ammunition which were buried in
different places, the source said adding that
the immediate investigation launched into the incident was
continuing.
