HRH Premier thanked by BCCI Chairman

Manama, Sept. 24 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received a cable from Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Sameer Abdullah Nass who thanked him for his directives at the weekly Cabinet meeting to study giving national contractors priority in the government's construction projects, in tune with the international commercial systems and the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitments. The BCCI Chairman praised HRH the Premier's directives to the Ministerial Committee for Financial, Economic and Fiscal Balance Affairs to submit recommendations in this regard. He stressed that the directives had a positive echo in the private sector and the contracting and construction one, in particular, commending HRH the Prime Minister's farsighted vision and deep understanding of the need to provide a favourable climate for the business sector to thrive. Mr. Nass extended on behalf of all BCCI Board members and the business community sincerest thanks and gratitude to HRH the Premier for his unlimited support to the private sector and BCCI. He expressed hope the next phase would witness more cooperation between the government and BCCI to further promote the private sector's role in supporting the national economy.
