Amman, April 1, SPA -- Foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt,
Jordan, Qatar, Lebanon, the Palestinian Authority in addition to Arab
League's Secretary General Amr Mousa held a meeting here today to
complete the consultations they earlier started at the Arab summit
held in Doha recently.

The Saudi delegation to the meeting is led by Prince Saud al-Faisal,
the Foreign Minister.

The meeting, held at the invitation of Jordanian Foreign Minister
Nasser Judah, comes prior to the forthcoming visit of the Jordanian
King Abdullah II to the United States.

The Foreign Ministers will review means of strengthening the joint
Arab stand as spelt out by Doha Declaration under which the Arab
leaders reiterated their adherence to peace and underlined the
importance of a solution on the basis of the peace initiatives
including the Arab Peace Initiative and the settlement on the main
basis of the two states solution.

The meeting aims at coordinating the Arab stand towards the peace
process in the light of the assumption of power in Israel by the
right-wingers led by Netanyahu.

Syrian Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Muallem did not attend the meeting
due to his trip abroad, according to Jordanian Foreign Minister
Nasser Judah.
