Saudi Aramco hailed for setting up Intelligent Field Tech-Centers

MANAMA, Bahrain, April 13, SPA -- Saudi Aramco has been recognized
for its proactive efforts to establish Intelligent Field Centers and
its continuous development of a new breed of professionals who can
master engineering aspects and technological breakthroughs when
conducting their new business practices.

The commendation of Saudi Aramco was spelt out at a workshop held
recently in Bahrain.


The workshop was entitled “Intelligent Fields — Expanding Solutions
and Benefits.”


As many as 62 professionals from around the world attended the
workshop which was sponsored by Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
Applied Technology.


Intelligent Fields are a modern concept and an emerging practice in
the petroleum industry that relate to the use of real-time subsurface
sensing and control technologies to facilitate real-time monitoring
and control of wells in managing producing reservoirs.
