GCC Secretary General receives Tunisian, Sri Lankan, Australian,

Riyadh, April 13, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation
Council (GCC) Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Atiyyah received here today
Tunisian Ambassador to the Kingdom Najib Al-Munif.

During the meeting, the ambassador delivered the invitation of
Tunisian Foreign Minister Abdul Wahab Abdullah to GCC Secretary
General to participate in the international conference on dialogue
among civilizations and cultural diversification scheduled be held in
Kairouan, Tunisia, from 2-4 June 2009. They also discussed ways of
enhancing relations between GCC and Tunisia in various fields in
addition to the latest developments at regional and international
arenas.

Later, the GCC Secretary General received here today Sri Lankan
Ambassador to the Kingdom Abdalaqid Mohamed Marilyn.

During the meeting, they reviewed ways of enhancing relations between
GCC and Sri Lanka in addition to issues of common interest.


GCC Secretary General also received here today Romanian Ambassador to
the Kingdom Ion Dobreci who delivered a message from Romanian Foreign
Minister Cristian Diaconescu, inviting GCC Secretary General to visit
Romania. They also discussed relations between GCC and Romania in
various fields.

Then the GCC Secretary General received here today Australian
Ambassador to the Kingdom Kevin Magee.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing relations
between GCC and Australia, particularly the ongoing negotiations
between GCC and Australia to reach a free trade agreement between the
two sides.
