S. Korean novel published in Polish
SEOUL, April 14 (Yonhap) -- A collection of stories by South Korean author Kim
Young-ha has been published in Polish, adding another translated work to his long
list of publications overseas, the Korea Literature Translation Institute said
Tuesday.
The book "Vampire, Kim Young-ha collection," consisting of 10 short stories by
the 41-year-old novelist, has been released by Polish publisher Kwiaty Orientu,
the institute said. It is the second collection of the works by the author to be
released in Poland.
Kim's novel "I Have the Right to Destroy Myself" was published in Poland in 2007
by Vesper Publishing Corp. The 1996 award-winning novel has also been translated
into English, French and Chinese.
Well received by critics and readers at home, Kim has been praised for a skillful
literary style depicting the confusion of the contemporaries.
