Korea Express eyes 36 pct jump in 2009 sales


SEOUL, April 15 (Yonhap) -- Korea Express Co., South Korea's leading logistics
company, said Wednesday that it expects sales to increase 36 percent this year
from a year earlier.

In a regulatory filing, Korea Express said it expects to post 2.5 trillion won
(US$1.88 billion) in sales this year, compared with last year's 1.83 trillion
won.
The company also said its operating income is forecast to increase to 125 billion
won this year from last year's 70.5 billion won.
Kumho Asiana Group, the country's eighth-largest conglomerate, holds a 56-percent
sake in Korea Express. The group took over the company for 4.1 trillion won in
March last year.
